Bill Woodland is a theatrical designer and stage technician from Seattle in the US, and is studying Lighting Design while at The Lir. He graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts from Western Washington University in 2011, where he studied lighting design, scenic design, sound design/engineering, technical theatre, and production management.

After leaving school, he worked at a live production supply company as a custom systems designer and project manager for lighting and sound systems in new or renovated venues in the western US. In addition to the day job, Bill and eight other WWU graduates co-founded Mirum Mirum Productions, a theatre company primarily focused on devised theatre. Since 2012, the company has created and produced 3 fully devised productions, as well as a one-act festival.
