Triin Kolmkant graduated with a BA in Costume Design from South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences. Her studies included an exchange semester at The Academy of Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia, focusing on scenography and a year at Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom, focusing on costume design and construction. She has worked internationally across theatre, film and TV in various costume roles.

In the summer of 2017, Triin was a co-designer for Waste Paper Opera Company’s iThe Opera, performed at RADA in the United Kingdom. She has also designed set and costumes for Naïa the Musical, which was performed at the Tristan Bates theatre in London 2019.

In Finland she worked as a costume, make-up & hair designer for virtual reality performance Love Simulation Eve that premiered in Espoo International Theatre in 2023.

Her most recent design work before starting her studies at The Lir Academy was for short film called Arachnobody, where she was the Costume and Set Designer. Triin is majoring in Costume Design and minoring in Set Design, further developing expertise in both fields.
