Mary is a writer and Speech and Language Therapist from Co. Galway.

Mary completed an M.A. in Creative Writing at Dublin City University in 2022. Her first play, Three Rooms, was shortlisted for The Eamon Keane Full Length Play Award at Listowel Writer’s Week 2022.

Her fiction and non-fiction has appeared in Tír na nÓg literary magazine and on RTÉ’s Sunday Miscellany. In 2022, she won the Lough Corrib Short Story Prize and was a prize winner in Sonder magazine’s Morning Coffee Writing Competition.

Mary is this year’s recipient of The Patricia Leggett Scholarship for playwriting.
