Anushka Senanayake is the founding artistic director of Theatre Junction, a theatre company based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. In addition to her involvement in theatre, she has also organized a number of arts events aimed at raising funds for causes such as improving literacy for the visually impaired and breast cancer awareness in Sri Lanka.
She completed a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in Theatre and Economics at Converse College, USA. During her undergraduate education, she was tapped into the National Theatre Honours Society (Alpha Psi Omega) and was awarded for her performance and directing work in theatre. Anushka has directed, assistant directed, and performed in productions in both Sri Lanka and USA. A number of her short plays have also been performed in venues in both Sri Lanka and USA
