Alisha Finnerty is a theatre director from Kerry, Ireland. Through her work she aims to boldly explore and celebrate the human experience in all its forms. She hopes to be a facilitator of change in the world by focusing on stories she feels not only deserve but need an audience; specialising in dynamic performance pieces with a keen social and cultural awareness. She has completed a BA in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies in the University of Galway and is now undertaking an MFA in Theatre Directing in The Lir Academy.
She has worked on all aspects of production, learning a huge amount from her time as an ASM on two Druid Theatre productions and as a venue manager in The Mick Lally Theatre. Her directing credits include the amateur Irish premiere of “Constellations” by Nick Payne, “Catraz Park” by Sinead Ryan, which won Best Overall Design at the 2018 Jerome Hynes One Act Play Series and a recorded production of “Bedtime” by Aoife Delaney Reade.
