The Lir’s inaugural class of 2012 MFA Playwriting students graduated on 19th April 2013 from Trinity College Dublin.
Brian Singleton who was the instigator behind this course was on hand to congratulate the graduates and to emphasise how important this course is for playwrights throughout Ireland and beyond. The MFA in playwriting is the first of its kind in Ireland and the emphasis of the course is working alongside established playwrights and making connections between the new generation of playwrights to the theatre industry nationally and internationally.
