Graduate Programme launch
On Tuesday 24th September The Lir launched its first ever Graduate Programme.
Featuring final year Acting and Stage Management and Technical Theatre students, the programme highlights the eight plays that will be undertaken this academic year. Productions include Scenes from the Big Picture, Schiller's Mary Stuart, Bold Girls, Twelfth Night, The Night Season, Into the Woods, The Clearing and Pains of Youth. Loughlin Deegan, Director of The Lir was delighted to announce a stellar list of local and international Directors who will direct these productions; Nona Shepphard from RADA, Conall Morrison, Selina Cartmell, Hilary Wood, Rachel West, Tom Creed and Cathal Synott, Lynne Parker and Wayne Jordan.
The launch of the programme was a huge success with many friends of The Lir showing up to offer their support. Everyone agreed that there is a great buzz of excitement and expectation in the air as we await the productions to begin.
