Brendan Smith portrait by Robert Ballagh has been donated to The Lir Academy
The family of Brendan Smith have very kindly donated a portrait of Brendan to The Lir Academy. Brendan was the founding director of the Dublin Theatre Festival, director of the Olympia Theatre and founder of The Brendan Smith Academy which was the pre-eminent acting school in Ireland throughout from the 1940's.
