Audition Workshop Weekend
One-weekend-long (all day)
At this acting audition workshop, one of the core acting teachers at The Lir Academy will guide participants through preparing for auditions, through careful selection of monologues and developing characterisation.
This workshop will be extremely useful for those preparing for The Lir Academy auditions and/or any other drama school that participants may be applying to. We have two courses running, one in November (2nd & 3rd) and one in December (7th & 8th).
Good audition preparation is vital in order to showcase your optimum best within a very short amount of time. Typically, drama school auditions last between 10 - 15 minutes so it's very important to be fully prepared and to create a good first impression, this course will offer helpful tips in achieving this.
Audition Masterclass
Two-weekends-long (all day)
This is an intensive course for those considering auditioning for drama school, who wish to master audition techniques and fully prepare their monologues.
This audition preparation masterclass will offer a range of workshops giving an invaluable grounding in vital skills required for auditions and ongoing training. On completing the course, participants will be armed for auditions with a polished classical and contemporary speech, as well as tips and tricks to remain relaxed and confident in audition situations.
General audition presentation, delivery, attitude and focus will be covered and the course will end with a mock audition session for drama school to practice the skills learned during the course.
It will take place across two weekends - 9th & 10th of November, 16th & 17th of November.
Audition Workshop (Online)
One-day-long
At this acting audition workshop, participants will be guided through the process of preparing for Drama School auditions, through careful selection of monologues and developing characterisation. This workshop will be extremely useful for those preparing for The Lir Academy auditions and/or any other drama school that participants may be applying to.
