To celebrate the inaugural Roger McHugh Bursary Award for Lir Alumni graduates, we are hosting a live panel event on 'Adaptation - Inspiration from the Present and the Past ' on April 9th here at The Lir Academy. The Roger McHugh Bursary is a bursary of €5,000 that is awarded every 4 years as part of the Colm Ó Briain Scholarship endowment. It reflects the importance of supporting young artists in the development of new work.

We invite you to join us, alongside the McHugh and Ó Briain families, to mark their generosity in nurturing emerging artists with a wonderful panel of writers, directors and experts on adaptation including Louise Lowe (Director and Founder Anu Productions), Thomas Conway (Director and Head of New Work, Gate Theatre), Colin Murphy (Writer, Journalist and Documentary-Maker), Gavin Kostick (Writer, Literary Manager at Fishamble Theatre Company) and Muireann Ó Briain (Lawyer, daughter of Roger McHugh).

We welcome you to join us for refreshments at 6:30pm and the event will finish at approximately 8:30pm.

Places are limited so please RSVP by emailing our boxoffice@thelir.ie with your RSVP and the number of tickets that you require to attend the event.
