Overview

Facilitated by Aonghus Óg McAnally, one of Ireland's most in demand voice-over performers, this workshop will cover the core skills required to pursue a career in voice-over work in TV, Radio, Documentaries, Cartoons, Gaming and Audiobooks:

ABOUT THE TUTOR

For over 20 years, Aonghus Óg McAnally has been one of Ireland’s most prolific voiceover artists. An award winning actor, he has performed extensively in radio dramas for RTE, Newstalk, and others, in work from Ireland’s leading writers from Seamus Heaney to Maeve Binchy. He has voiced numerous commercial campaigns for major retail brands, and was the lead voice for RTE 1 Television. Animation work includes Teen Titans, Duel Masters, and Legend of the Dragon.

A pioneer of Digital Audio content, Aonghus created the groundbreaking Irish Theatre Podcast, which became the Number 1 Arts podcast on iTunes, and was on the syllabus at Yale University, NUI Galway, and Ulster University. He produced and directed Rise: Audio Drama, two 10-part seasons of short audio plays, both of which also charted at No. 1, and Cobra’s Quest, an epic fantasy adventure for young audiences.

The full course fee is payable as acceptance of an offer of a place on the course.

Any withdrawal before the course start date, irrespective of circumstances, will result in the forfeiture of the entire fee.

Please note, acceptance onto the course is at the discretion of The Lir Academy. If The Lir feels for whatever reason that a participant is not suitable for the course, he/she will not be accepted. All decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
